The successful candidate will collaborate with general and special education colleagues to ensure student needs are met, aligning with MA frameworks and district regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field required.
• Certification as a Special Education teacher required.
• Knowledge of developmental disabilities beneficial.
• Familiar with special education assessment tools.
• Knowledge of MA Curriculum Frameworks and MCAS alternative assessments.
• Knowledge of federal and state regulations governing Special Education.

Responsabilités

• Design and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum aligned to IEP goals.
• Develop data collection systems to monitor progress toward goals.
• Implement behavior plans and track data for social-emotional needs.
• Guide classroom staff and collaborate with general and special education teachers.
• Provide direct instruction through inclusion and resource models.
• Provide trans-disciplinary programming through consultation with staff.
• Conduct educational evaluations and progress monitoring for reports.
• Prepare MCAS alternate assessments when scheduled.
• Assist students with ADLs as necessary.
• Support the transition of students with positive behavior supports.
