Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Administers evaluative tools to assess student competency levels and develop individual learning plans.
  • Assesses student progress towards objectives and goals; provides feedback to students, parents, and administration.
  • Collaborates with parents, instructional staff, and other school personnel to improve student outcomes.
  • Differentiates instruction to address individualized learning within curriculum guidelines.
  • Informs parents and guardians of student progress and achievement.
  • Instructs students to improve success in academics, interpersonal, and daily living skills.
  • Maintains documents and records in accordance with guidelines and legal requirements.
  • Monitors student behavior to maintain a safe learning environment.
  • Participates in IEP meetings, staff meetings, and parent conferences.
  • Prepares written materials (grades, attendance, IEPs, progress reports) to document student progress.
  • Reports incidents and maintains student safety as required by policy.
  • Responds to inquiries to resolve issues and provide information.
  • Supervises paraeducators to ensure standards are achieved.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
