• Comply with district, state, and IDEA documentation and timelines.

SchoolHouse Staffing is hiring a Special Education Teacher for a middle school assignment on Chicago's South Side (60643 area) for the 2026-2027 school year. This is a full-time, W-2 position paying $45.00-$55.00 per hour, Monday through Friday, 37.5 hours per week, at a single partner school building.

Pay Scale

$45.00 - $55.00 per hour. Actual rate within this range depends on licensure, endorsements, relevant experience, and assignment requirements. Paid weekly. Based on a 37.5-hour work week. This range reflects what SchoolHouse Staffing reasonably expects in good faith to pay for this assignment at the time of posting.

Benefits and Other Compensation

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 37.5 hours per week, on-site at a single partner middle school. The assignment is scheduled for the 2026-2027 school year. Start date and assignment duration are subject to district needs, enrollment, and the terms of the client agreement, and are not guaranteed.

About the Role

SchoolHouse Staffing partners with school districts across the Chicago area to place special education professionals. In this role you will:

• Serve as the case manager for an assigned middle school caseload
