Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field required.
- Special Education Certificate per AZ DOE requirements.
- Arizona Teaching Licensure required.
- Specific certifications such as Early Childhood Education Certificate or Cross Category Specialist where applicable.
- Experience with IEP writing and meetings.
- Experience working with K-12 students.
Responsibilities
- Create and execute IEPs for students in your care.
- Communicate progress and challenges with staff and families.
- Prepare and submit detailed lesson plans for approval.
- Participate in scheduled IEP meetings.
- Use individualized reinforcement to support student progress.
- Invite family members to participate in progress updates.
- Create and distribute quarterly progress reports.
- Coordinate with on-site therapists on behavioral issues.
- Maintain a safe, productive classroom environment.
