Pediatric Developmental Services (PDS) is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team and support students in a dynamic school setting. The role emphasizes developing and implementing individualized education plans, and collaborating with families and staff to ensure each child's success.

Qualifications

• Teaching License with endorsements in Special Education.
• Experience working with K-12 children.

Responsibilities

• Create and execute Individualized Education Plans (IEP) for each student.
• Communicate with other staff and family members about each student's progress and challenges.
• Prepare detailed lesson plans and submit them for administrators’ approval.
• Participate in IEP meetings as scheduled by the school.
• Use individualized reinforcement techniques to support student progress.
• Invite family members to participate in each student’s educational progress.
• Create and distribute progress reports quarterly.
• Coordinate with on-site therapist on disciplinary and behavioral issues.
• Create a safe, productive classroom environment.
