Job summary

Delta-T Group seeks a passionate Special Education Teacher (LBS1) to support students with diverse learning needs in the Maywood/Melrose Park area. You will develop differentiated instruction, implement IEPs, and collaborate with families and service providers to promote academic and social-emotional growth.

Requirements include a valid Illinois PEL with LBS1 and a Bachelor’s in Special Education; prior K-8 experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Valid Illinois PEL with LBS1 endorsement is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field required.
• Experience teaching students with diverse needs in K-8 preferred.
• Strong knowledge of IEP development, implementation and progress monitoring.

Our client is seeking a passionate, dedicated, and compassionate Special Education Teacher (LBS1) to make a meaningful difference in the lives of students with diverse learning needs.

LOCATION

Schools are located in the Maywood/Melrose Park area.

DESCRIPTION OF CLIENT'S DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and deliver engaging, differentiated instruction tailored to students' individual learning needs.
• Implement, monitor, and update IEPs to support academic, behavioral, and social-emotional growth.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families.
• Maintain accurate student progress reports and special education documentation.
• Foster a positive, structured, and inclusive learning environment.

CLIENT'S REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a Learning Behavior Specialist 1 (LBS1) endorsement required.
• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field required.
• Previous experience teaching students with diverse learning needs in a K-8 school setting preferred.
• Strong knowledge of special education laws, IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring.
• Experience providing differentiated instruction and adapting curriculum to meet individual student needs.
