Job summary

Delta-T Group seeks a passionate Special Education Teacher (LBS1) in Elgin, IL to support students with diverse learning needs. You will deliver engaging, differentiated instruction and collaborate with families and school teams to implement IEPs.

Ideal candidates hold a PEL with LBS1, a Bachelor's in Special Education, and experience in K-8 settings, with strong knowledge of SPED laws and IEP processes.

Qualifications

Our client is seeking a passionate, dedicated, and compassionate Special Education Teacher (LBS1) to make a meaningful difference in the lives of students with diverse learning needs.

DESCRIPTION OF CLIENT'S DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and deliver engaging, differentiated instruction tailored to students' individual learning needs.
• Implement, monitor, and update IEPs to support academic, behavioral, and social-emotional growth.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families.
• Maintain accurate student progress reports and special education documentation.
• Foster a positive, structured, and inclusive learning environment.

CLIENT'S REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a Learning Behavior Specialist 1 (LBS1) endorsement required.
• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field required.
• Previous experience teaching students with diverse learning needs in a K-8 school setting preferred.
• Strong knowledge of special education laws, IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring.
• Experience providing differentiated instruction and adapting curriculum to meet individual student needs.
