Job summary

LEARN Academy seeks a Special Education Teacher to deliver diverse instructional strategies for students with special needs. You’ll design and implement IEPs and SDI, fostering a supportive classroom that promotes growth across academic, social, and emotional domains.

Join a team that partners with OTs, SLPs, BCBA, and administrators to support individualized student success and to advance clinical and educational outcomes in a private school setting in Arizona.

Qualifications

• Valid Arizona Special Education Credential (or enrolled in a program).
• Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred, OR an intern student in a SPED program.
• Autism-specific or related certificate preferred – will be accepted with another credential.
• Experience with students with challenging behaviors preferred.
• Must perform varied postures and safety procedures to support students.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement IEPs and SDI tailored to each student.
• Administer instructional activities to maintain a positive learning climate.
• Select and modify resources to meet diverse needs and backgrounds.
• Assess curricular needs and propose improvement plans.
• Collaborate with OTs, SLPs, BCBA, clinicians, and administrators.
