Job summary

Specialized Education Services, Inc. (SESI) seeks a dedicated special education teacher to support K-12 students with diverse needs in in-district classrooms and standalone schools.

You will collaborate with school teams to address learning, social, and emotional skill gaps using SESI’s instructional models and PBIS CASE framework. You’ll develop individualized lesson plans, manage behavior, maintain IEPs and BIPs, and monitor student progress toward goals while contributing to a safe, inclusive

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Valid teaching credential appropriate to the role preferred.
• Commitment to learning and implementing feedback.
• Adaptability and flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Work with a diverse group of students from varying backgrounds.
• Use SESI’s instructional models, strategies, and curricula to teach knowledge and skills, nurture confidence and character, and meet the needs of all students.
• Develop and maintain individualized skill-appropriate lesson plans.
• Implement behavior management and intervention strategies, including de-escalation techniques and safety measures.
• Maintain student documents such as IEPs, BIPs, incident reports, and high-risk forms.
• Drive, record, and track student growth toward academic, social, and emotional goals.
• Supervise and monitor students, including travel within the school.
