Qualifications

• MSDE Certification as a Special Education Teacher is required.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college is required.
• Minimum of two years of teaching experience.
• Experience with transition planning, vocational programming, or workforce development preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of IEP development, compliance requirements, and special education regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the full IEP process from development through implementation and progress monitoring.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local special education regulations.
• Partner with families, school systems, and multidisciplinary teams to support student achievement.
• Train and support educators in effective special education practices and IEP implementation.
• Coordinate transition services and individualized supports for students across Diploma and Certificate Track programs.
