Job summary

Norwalk Public Schools seeks a Special Education Teacher for Roton Middle School to provide IEP-mandated instruction in a structured classroom. You will use data collection to guide instruction and work with the IEP team, parents, and colleagues to support student progress.

Qualifications

• CT teaching certificate required for special education.
• Experience with IEP data collection and direct data use.
• Knowledge of IEP Direct software.
• Elementary SPED experience preferred.
• PMT/CPI training is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Follow the approved instructional scope and sequence.
• Manage classroom and student behavior for a productive environment.
• Prepare lessons aligned to IEP goals and data collection.
• Maintain accurate records and communicate with parents.
• Conduct parent/teacher conferences and progress reviews.
• Collaborate with general education staff and IEP team.
