Job summary

LEARN Academy seeks a dedicated Special Education Teacher to serve students with diverse needs. You will develop IEPs, implement SDI, and use varied instructional strategies to support academic and social growth.

The role emphasizes collaboration with a team of specialists (OTs, SLPs, BCBAs) and administrators, while providing a safe learning environment for students with special needs in Arizona.

Qualifications

• Must hold or be eligible for Arizona Special Education Credential (Mild/Moderate or Moderate to Severe).
• Bachelor's degree required; master's preferred or intern in a special education program.
• Experience with students who have challenging behaviors preferred.
• Willingness to implement safety measures per PCMA including therapeutic holds and transportation procedures.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement IEPs and SDI.
• Deliver engaging instructional activities aligned to IEP goals.
• Select and adapt instructional resources for diverse learners.
• Assess curricular needs and propose improvements.
• Collaborate with OTs, SLPs, BCBAs, clinicians and admins.
