Rivermont Schools seeks a Special Education Teacher to create an engaging classroom for students with diverse learning needs. You will design lessons aligned with Virginia Standards of Learning and IEPs, using evidence-based instruction and behavior analytic principles to support academic and behavioral progress.

Collaboration with behavior specialists, therapists, and families is essential to ensure student progress and successful outcomes, while maintaining thorough documentation of student

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education or related field.
• Eligibility for or possession of Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) certification with endorsement in special education or adaptive curriculum.
• Strong instructional, communication, and classroom management skills.
• Valid Virginia driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with Virginia Standards of Learning and IEPs.
• Adapt instruction to meet diverse learning needs using evidence-based strategies and behavior analytic principles.
• Collaborate with behavior specialists, therapists, and families to support academic and behavioral progress.
