BASIS Phoenix Primary is seeking a Special Education Teacher to join a bright, passionate team in Phoenix, AZ. This role focuses on delivering specially designed instruction to students with disabilities and supporting IEP implementation.

The position emphasizes collaboration with general education staff, conducting IEP meetings, and ensuring compliance with state and federal requirements. A valid SPED certificate and IVP background check are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Valid IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card and/or satisfactory state background check.
• Current special education certificate valid in relevant jurisdiction.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred or required.

Responsibilities

• Work with students with disabilities in small groups or 1:1.
• Meet IEP requirements and participate in IEP meetings.
• Provide specially designed instruction and related services.
• Collaborate with general education teachers to implement IEPs and provide interventions.
• Coordinate IEP team meetings and parent communication.
• Maintain compliance with state and federal special education requirements.
• Oversee ESS Assistant(s) and Special Education Specialist duties.
• Conduct testing administration for state or district assessments.
