Job summary

BASIS Phoenix Primary is seeking a qualified Special Education Teacher to join a bright, passionate team in Phoenix, AZ. The role centers on delivering specially designed instruction and coordinating IEP services for students with disabilities.

You will participate in IEP meetings, support teachers in implementing accommodations, and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations while maintaining confidential student records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• CPR and First Aid certification and/or state background check as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Work with students with disabilities in small group or 1:1 settings.
• Support IEP requirements and coordinate with general education teachers.
• Facilitate IEP meetings and ensure compliance with state and federal requirements.
• Provide specially designed instruction and related services.
• Collect and report data for annual IEP goals and regulatory purposes.
• Collaborate with related service providers to schedule student services.
• Oversee ESS assistants and Special Education Specialist tasks.
• Proctor testing for state or district assessments.
