Job summary

New Story Schools in Pennsylvania is hiring a Special Education Teacher to design individualized instruction for students aged 5–21 with autism and related challenges. You will develop IEPs, deliver diverse teaching methods, and maintain a structured classroom.

The role requires PA certification, a strong understanding of child development, and excellent organizational and communication abilities to lead a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and PA Special Education certification.
• Minimum three months of experience with students with disabilities.
• Knowledge of child development, differentiated instruction, and behavior management.
• Strong organizational and communication skills; ability to lead and collaborate in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement IEPs and lesson plans that meet each student’s needs.
• Deliver engaging instruction using varied teaching methods.
• Manage classroom behavior and ensure a safe learning environment.
• Track progress and prepare required documentation and reports.
• Lead and support classroom staff to ensure consistent implementation of student plans.
