Job summary

BASIS Oro Valley Primary in Arizona is seeking a qualified Special Education Teacher to support students under IEPs, provide specially designed instruction, and collaborate with general education staff to ensure FAPE. The role includes attending IEP meetings, data collection, and coordinating services.

Required qualifications include a valid state certificate, IVP background check, CPR/First Aid, and a bachelor’s degree.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• CPR and First Aid.
• Valid IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card and/or state background check; valid state special education certificate.

Responsibilities

• Work with students with disabilities in small groups or 1:1.
• Fulfill IEP requirements and provide specially designed instruction.
• Coordinate IEP meetings and communicate with families.
• Collaborate with general education teachers to implement IEPs and ensure FAPE.
• Collect data and maintain documentation for progress and compliance.
• Oversee ESS staff and assist with testing and accommodations.
• Perform CPI or TACT-2 certified restraint if required.
