Job summary

BASIS Oro Valley Primary is seeking a qualified Special Education Teacher to join our team and support students under an IEP.

You will work 1:1 or in small groups, provide specially designed instruction, collaborate with general education teachers, and participate in IEP meetings. Sign-on bonus offered for select candidates.

Required credentials include a valid special education certificate and IVP/Fingerprint clearance; CPR/First Aid is preferred. BASIS Ed offers comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field is required.
• Valid State/Special Education certificate in applicable jurisdiction.
• CPR and First Aid certifications.
• IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card or satisfactory background check.

Responsibilities

• Work with students with disabilities in small groups or 1:1.
• Interact with assigned students to fulfill IEP requirements.
• Provide specially designed instruction and supports as per IEP.
• Collaborate with general education teachers to implement IEPs and accommodations.
• Coordinate IEP meetings and communicate with parents.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal special education requirements.
