Job summary

BASIS Phoenix Primary is seeking a qualified Special Education Teacher to join our bright, passionate team, dedicated to delivering individualized education services under student IEPs.

The role involves planning and providing specially designed instruction, collaborating with general education teachers, leading IEP meetings, and ensuring compliance with state and federal requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Current Special Education certification valid in relevant jurisdiction; IVP/Fingerprint clearance.
• CPR and First Aid certificates.

Responsibilities

• Work with students with disabilities in small group or 1:1 settings.
• Interact with students to fulfill IEP requirements.
• Provide specially designed instruction and related services per IEP.
• Collaborate with general education teachers to implement IEPs and ensure FAPE.
• Coordinate IEP team meetings and parent communication.
