Zusammenfassung

IDEA Public Schools seeks a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support students with diverse learning needs. The role involves creating and implementing IEPs, delivering targeted instruction in reading, writing, and math, and collaborating with families to ensure student progress.

You will adapt lessons, assess progress, and participate in weekly team meetings and after-school tutoring as needed. Candidates should hold a Texas Special Education certification and have classroom experience.

Qualifikationen

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year educational institution (required).
• Experience: Experience in a Special Education classroom setting (strongly preferred).
• Licenses or Certifications: Valid Texas state certification in Special Education (required).

Aufgaben

• Adapt lessons to meet the needs of students.
• Develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for a caseload of students.
• Implement IEPs, assess students’ performance, and track their progress.
• Update IEPs throughout the school year to reflect progress and goals.
• Assist in family communication and progress updates with parents and guardians.
• Provide tutoring support and participate in after-school activities as needed.
