Job summary

IDEA Public Schools is seeking a Special Education teacher to support students with diverse needs. You will develop and implement IEPs, monitor progress, and collaborate with families to ensure student success in reading, writing, and math. The role requires Texas certification and a strong commitment to inclusive education.

You will engage in planning, data review, and after-school supports as needed, contributing to a thriving school culture and high expectations for student achievement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year institution.
• Experience in a Special Education classroom setting.
• Valid Texas state certification in Special Education.

Responsibilities

• Adapt lessons to meet students’ needs.
• Develop IEPs for a caseload of students.
• Implement IEPs, assess performance, and track progress.
• Update IEPs to reflect progress and goals.
• Assess skills to develop teaching plans and objectives.
• Lead small groups including students with various supports.
