Job description

Duxbury High School is seeking a dynamic and highly qualified Special Education Teacher with STEM teaching experience, particularly in Algebra, Physics, and/or Chemistry, for the 2025-2026 school year.

Requirements:

1. Current certification from the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, Teacher of Students with Moderate Disabilities 5-12 with SEI Endorsement.
2. Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited college or university.
3. Previous experience with IEP development and data collection.
4. Classroom management skills that support students' social-emotional learning.
5. Instructional and classroom management skills that support students' access to the general education curriculum by providing specially designed instruction.
6. Collaboration with general education teachers to provide in-class support to students with disabilities.
7. Experience in the adaptation and modification of curriculum and assessments.
8. Ability to plan and implement lessons aligned with the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks.
9. Experience managing and leveraging instructional assistants.
10. Citizenship, residency, or work visa required.

Salary is based on the current Duxbury Teachers' Contract.
