Job Summary

We are hiring for a High School Special Education teacher in Tucson, AZ to join a public charter school. The school is coming into their third year of operations and is looking for a licensed special education teacher for mild-moderate needs.

There is future opportunity to step up into an administrative/leadership position within Special Education if desired.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop a varied and inclusive curriculum within state guidelines
2. Teach a varied curriculum aligned with students' IEP goals
3. Create an engaging, positive learning environment for students
4. Implement effective classroom management techniques to maintain a productive working environment
5. Incorporate a variety of teaching methods including group and individualized learning
6. Monitor and evaluate students' academic and social growth, keeping accurate records and providing feedback to students, parents, and administration.

Requirements / Qualifications

1. Previous experience teaching in Special Education for grades 9-12
2. Appropriate Special Education Teaching Credential - AZ
3. Bachelors Degree
4. Special Education Licensure for Arizona required
