Job summary

Sage Alliance Schools is seeking a dedicated Special Education teacher for grades 2-4 in New Jersey to support students with emotional self-regulation and behavioral challenges. The role emphasizes differentiated instruction and close collaboration with staff and families.

You will develop engaging lessons, maintain clear records, and create a safe classroom culture that fosters participation and growth. Strong communication and classroom management are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Valid New Jersey teaching certification (Special Education K-12).
• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Subject area certification and/or relevant classroom experience.
• Strong understanding of differentiated instruction and student-centered learning.
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
• Experience with Behavioral Intervention Plans (BIPs).
• Self-contained teaching experience.
• Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) Training in verbal de-escalation and restraint.

Responsibilities
