Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or related field.
• Valid Minnesota Special Education Teaching License required.
• Experience in school-based special education preferred.
• Strong knowledge of IEP development, case management, and compliance.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience supporting students with diverse learning and behavioral needs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized instruction aligned with students' IEP goals and objectives
• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Serve as the case manager for assigned students and maintain compliance with special education requirements
• Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, administrators, and families
• Participate in IEP meetings, eligibility meetings, and multidisciplinary team discussions
• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation and records
• Implement accommodations, modifications, and evidence-based instructional strategies
• Support positive behavior interventions and classroom management practices
• Foster an inclusive, student-centered learning environment
• Ensure compliance with IDEA, Minnesota special education regulations, and district policies
