Mesa Public Schools is seeking a dedicated classroom teacher to implement district standards and create meaningful learning experiences across subject areas. The role focuses on meeting intellectual and emotional needs of all students and maintaining a positive educational environment.

The position requires a Bachelor’s in special education, an Arizona Teaching Certificate, and experience designing instruction aligned with IEP goals. Alternative pathways are available for certified teachers.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in special education or related field.
• Valid Arizona Teaching Certificate, appropriate for subject area.
• Coursework should include Foundations of special education, behavior management techniques, assessment and evaluation methods, instructional strategies for students with disabilities and inclusive teaching practices.

Responsabilidades

• Demonstrates knowledge of subject matter, instructional skills, and resources.
• Utilizes a variety of effective instructional and management techniques.
• Plans lessons considering individual learning needs and district goals.
• Uses district-adopted textbooks and curriculum guides for planning.
• Incorporates higher level thinking and real-life applications into lessons.
• Develops and uses IEP goals and related materials.
• Maintains a safe and positive classroom environment.
• Keeps student records related to achievement, attendance and discipline.
