Job summary

AfterQuery is seeking experienced special education teachers to author and grade IEP and intervention scenarios used to test frontier AI models. This fully remote, async contractor role offers flexible hours and weekly pay via Stripe, with rates $40–$70 per hour based on experience.

You will write realistic evaluation scenarios from intake through IEP implementation, craft reference answers with legal and instructional reasoning, and evaluate model outputs for compliance and student safety.

Qualifications

Special education teachers to build the IEP and intervention scenarios frontier AI labs use to test model judgment. AfterQuery builds the expert evaluation data that frontier AI labs use to measure and improve their models. We're hiring special education teachers as contractors to author and grade the IEP and intervention scenarios those evaluations run on. Contract and pay $40 to $70/hr, paid weekly via Stripe. Your rate is set from your experience, not negotiated down after you start.

What you'll actually do: Author realistic special education scenarios from evaluation through IEP implementation. Write reference answers with the legal and instructional reasoning behind each decision. Grade model output for compliance and appropriateness for the student. Flag advice that reads compliant but fails the student.

Who this is for: Special education certification or license, or an equivalent credential. 2+ years of teaching in special education settings. Depth in IEP development, accommodations, and differentiated instruction. You can write instructional reasoning clearly enough for another teacher to follow it.

Remote and async. Fully remote, fully async. No fixed hours. Minimum 10 hours per week, no maximum. Scale up or down week to week. No screen recording, no keystroke monitoring, no idle timers. Independent contractor. Ongoing project work rather than single task batches.
