Job summary

Qualifications

• Hold or be eligible for Georgia Educator Certificate.
• Maintain highly confidential information professionally.
• Work well with students, parents, staff and the community.
• Exhibit integrity and strong professional reputation.
• Comply with the Georgia Professional Standards Code of Ethics for Educators.
• Regularly, predictably, and reliably present at work.
• Meet the needs of students with severe disabilities as assigned.
• Able to supervise students, including during emergencies.
• Strong communication is essential (written and verbal).

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver lesson plans and materials for active learning.
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEP/ILP for each student on caseload.
• Collaborate with general education teachers and Related Services Staff.
• Maintain accurate paperwork within designated timelines.
• Communicate with parents/guardians regularly.
• Use data-driven behavior management (FBAs and BIPs).
• Adhere to district policies and federal/state regulations.
• Serve as a resource to general education teachers.
• Participate in district, school, department and parent meetings.
