Henry County Schools is seeking an Exceptional Student Education Teacher to plan, deliver lesson plans and instructional materials that facilitate active learning for students with disabilities. The role includes developing and monitoring IEPs/ILPs, collaborating with parents and Related Services staff, and maintaining accurate documentation within timelines.

You will work with general education teachers to provide services that maximize student achievement and adhere to district and state

Qualificações

• Must hold or be eligible for a valid Georgia Educator Certificate.
• Ability to maintain highly confidential information professionally.
• Ability to work well with students, parents, staff, and the community.

Responsabilidades

• Plan, prepare, and deliver lesson plans and instructional materials that facilitate active learning.
• Assist with initiation and completion of eligibility/IEP processes.
• Develop, implement, monitor, and review IEPs/ILPs for students on the caseload.
• Collaborate with parents/guardians in all aspects of the educational program.
• Maintain accurate paperwork within designated timelines.
• Collaborate with general education teachers and Related Services staff to maximize student achievement.
• Maintain lesson plans per policies/directives.
• Deliver research-based instruction aligned to IEPs/ILPs.
• Develop data-driven behavior management strategies including FBAs and BIPs.
• Utilize formative and summative assessments and report progress to parents/guardians.
• Ensure due process procedural safeguards for students and parents/guardians.
• Adhere to district policies and federal/state regulations.
• Serve as a resource to general education teachers for students with disabilities.
• Maintain prompt and professional communication with parents.
• Participate in district/school/department/parent meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
