Central Bucks School District seeks a Special Education Teacher - Elementary Autistic Support at Barclay Elementary School, 1.0 FTE, contract eligible with PDE certification.

The successful candidate will deliver instruction to autistic support students, align content with PA Academic Standards, and apply crisis-prevention strategies as needed; CBSD provides training and support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and PA Special Education PK-8 certification (content area certificate required). Elementary certification preferred.
• Bachelor's Degree and PA Special Education PK-12 certification (certificate discontinued 8/31/2013/content area certificate required).

Responsabilités

• Prepare, direct and deliver instruction to students in autistic support classes.
• Demonstrate knowledge of PA Academic Standards and content pedagogy.
• Utilize crisis prevention techniques/strategies (including possible restraint as a last resort) with students as needed; training provided by CBSD.

POSITION: Special Education Teacher - Elementary Autistic Support 1.0 FTE

AVAILABLE: November 9, 2026

COMPENSATION: Salary according to CBEA Agreement

DESCRIPTION: The successful candidate will have solid ability to prepare, direct and deliver instruction to students in autistic support classes.
Candidate will be able to demonstrate knowledge of content and pedagogy and knowledge of Pennsylvania's Academic Standards.
Utilization of crisis prevention techniques/strategies (including possible restraint as a last resort) with students who require such in their IEP. Training will be provided via CBSD.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's Degree and PA Special Education PK-8 certification (content area certificate required for issuance). Elementary certification preferred.
• Bachelor's Degree and PA Special Education PK-12 (certificate discontinued 8/31/2013/content area certificate required).

*If applicant requires a PDE Emergency Permit, contract eligibility is not applicable, and the vacancy becomes a Long Term Substitute position
