Job summary

Central Bucks School District is seeking a Special Education Teacher - Elementary (Autistic Support) as a long-term per diem substitute for Mill Creek Elementary.

The successful candidate will prepare, direct, and deliver instruction to students with special needs, utilizing knowledge of content, pedagogy, and Pennsylvania standards. Training will be provided for crisis prevention strategies as part of the IEP process.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required with PA Special Education PK-8 certification (content area certificate required for issuance).
• Knowledge of Pennsylvania Academic Standards.
• Experience with crisis prevention techniques and IEP-related strategies.

Compensation

$200.00 p/ full day

Description

The successful candidate will have solid ability to prepare, direct and deliver instruction to students in special needs classes.
Candidate will be able to demonstrate knowledge of content and pedagogy and knowledge of Pennsylvania's Academic Standards.
Utilization of crisis prevention techniques/strategies (including possible restraint as a last resort) with students who require such in their IEP. Training will be provided via CBSD.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree and PA Special Education PK-8 certification (content area certificate required for issuance). Elementary certification preferred.

Bachelor's Degree and PA Special Education PK-12 (certificate discontinued 8/31/2013/content area certificate required).
