Lilac Learning Center in Spokane, WA is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to develop each student's curricular trajectory and oversee goal procedures while training staff under the Site Director. This full-time, in-person role follows a year-round school calendar with a strong emphasis on collaboration, professional development, and ensuring appropriate accommodations and IEP documentation.

Qualifications

• Must have a Master’s degree.
• Must hold or qualify for a Washington teaching certificate with Special Education endorsement.
• Must hold or be willing to obtain First Aid/CPR certification.
• Training or willingness to be trained in QBS Safety Care de-escalation and crisis management techniques including physical management / restraint & isolation procedures.

Responsibilities

• Staff: Professional development; Delegation to Lead Techs and Behavior Technicians; Collaboration with BCBA on all student objectives and documents.
• Student: Identifying individual needs; Creating a supportive and effective learning environment; Ensuring accommodations; Preparing lessons and resources; Developing and maintain IEP documentation; Assessing student performance; Teacher of record; Physical Management.
• Facility: Updating parents on student progress; Researching curriculum; Assisting with cleaning tasks.
• As well as other duties as assigned.
