Job summary

Wenatchee School District is seeking a Special Education Teacher at Washington Elementary to manage student IEPs and provide collaborative classroom support under a 1.0 FTE continuing contract. Responsibilities include attending IEP/Eval meetings, progress monitoring, and assisting general education staff in implementing differentiated instruction.

Qualifications

• Valid Washington state teaching certificate with a Special Education endorsement.
• Experience with writing and following the IEP and helping general education staff design and implement differentiated programming in core content areas.
• Ability to work as part of a team and supervise placement of special education staff.
• Knowledge of Special Education rules (state and federal).

Responsibilities

• Manage student IEPs and educational plans; complete IEP paperwork.
• Attend and/or facilitate IEP meetings, evaluations, and progress monitoring.
• Collaborate with case managers, inclusion specialists, teachers, and staff to support IEPs.
• Support classroom implementation of IEPs and supervise related staff as needed.
