Job summary

Lilac Learning Center in Spokane seeks a passionate Special Education Teacher to develop individual curricular trajectories and oversee staff regarding student goals, reporting to the Site Director.

Full-time, 8 am–4 pm, year-round, on-site. You will collaborate with BCBA on student objectives, document IEPs, and maintain a supportive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Must have a Masters degree.
• Must hold or qualify for a Washington teaching certificate with Special Education endorsement.
• Must hold or be willing to obtain First Aid/CPR certification.
• Training or willingness to be trained in QBS Safety Care de-escalation and crisis management techniques.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional development for staff.
• Delegate tasks to Lead Techs and Behavior Technicians.
• Collaborate with BCBA on student objectives and documents.
• Identify individual student needs and create a supportive learning environment.
• Prepare lessons and resources and maintain IEP documentation.
• Assess student performance and act as teacher of record.
• Update parents on student progress and research curriculum.
