Job summary

Frisco ISD is seeking a Special Education teacher to support the Structured Learning Class (SLC) program across elementary and middle school levels. The role emphasizes delivering specially designed instruction, developing modified curricula, and promoting language, behavior, and academic progress.

Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree and a valid Texas teaching certificate in Special Education.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required
• Texas Special Education teaching certificate required
• PK positions include EC-6/PK and ESL assignments
• Elementary positions include EC–6 or 1–8 Generalist/Core
• Middle School positions include 4–8 or EC–6 Generalist/Core

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement IEPs through ARD/IEP Committee process.
• Prepare lessons with accommodations for diverse learning needs.
• Use assistive technology to support learning.
• Plan and supervise teaching assistants and volunteers.
• Assess student progress with formal and informal methods.
• Create learning environments conducive to student growth.
• Provide behavioral supports per Student Code of Conduct.
• Maintain health, safety, and confidentiality responsibilities.
