Job summary

Leominster Public Schools Sky View Middle School in Leominster, MA is seeking an ABA sub-separate Special Education Teacher for a full-time, immediate opening. The role focuses on assessing and delivering well-designed instructional plans for students with disabilities and participating in IEP meetings with the team.

You will provide direct services, collaborate with related service professionals, adapt lessons, monitor progress, and communicate with families.

Qualifications

• Experience participating in IEP meetings and collaborating with team members.
• Knowledge of accommodations and modifications in instructional settings.
• Experience working in inclusion and resource classrooms.
• Ability to support remote learning when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct service to students with disabilities and consult with staff on student issues.
• Ensure proper accommodations and modifications are implemented.
• Be familiar with MCAS accommodations and Alt. MCAS development.
• Participate in IEP meetings and prepare IEP paperwork; deliver instruction aligned to IEP goals.
• Complete Progress Reports for student progress.
• Develop individualized lesson plans meeting criteria for SLD.
• Plan, implement and adapt instructional activities.
• Administer educational assessments to determine eligibility and data for IEP.
• Guide learning toward curricular goals with clear objectives.
• Provide behavior management to maintain a safe learning environment.
• Collaborate with Related Service professionals.
• Communicate with parents and school personnel regularly.
• Keep classroom area neat, clean and safe.
• Support a remote learning environment when required.
• Supervise paraprofessionals/tutors.
