Responsibilities

• Design instructional opportunities to access state learning standards and to achieve IEP, Behavior Intervention Plan, and transition goals.
• Manages the classroom environment and the various adults assigned to supporting classroom needs.
• Leads or assists team supporting a student in crisis through implementation of Safe Crisis Management and other crisis management techniques
• Monitors students receiving related services weekly (Speech, Occupational Therapy, Counseling, etc.)
• Accepts direction and adheres to policies and procedures.
• Demonstrates tact, resourcefulness, patience, and dedication and reacts calmly and effectively in high emotion situations.
• Maintains ongoing progress records for all students assigned and communicates regularly to parents.
• Demonstrates preparedness for IEP meetings through the submission of drafted documents according to supervisor's timeline.
