Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is hiring a full-time Special Education Teacher for a center-based Structured Learning Services program serving K-5 students with Autism in Colorado. A valid CDE license is required in-hand for consideration and fingerprinting clearance must be completed promptly after signing.

You'll work the day shift, 40 hours per week, with classroom paraprofessional support and targeted district assistance to help students thrive in a collaborative, supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with Autism and behavior management
• Strong systems and structures in classroom routines

Responsibilities

• Non-clinical school setting in a center-based Structured Learning Services program for students with Autism
• Focus on K-5, especially K-2
• Caseload of approximately 8-14 students
• Day shift 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, 5x8 hours
• Contracted for 40 hours per week
• Paraprofessional classroom support as needed
• Collaborate with a long-term teacher in a second program
• Targeted district support provided to teachers
• Fingerprinting clearance promptly after contract signing

• Experience with Autism and behavior management required
• Strength in systems and structures a plus
• Colorado CBI and FBI fingerprinting clearance required

Responsibilities

• Non-clinical school setting in a center-based Structured Learning Services program for students with Autism
• Focus age group K-5 with an emphasis on grades K-2
• Caseload of approximately 8-14 students
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM)
• Contracted for 40 hours per week
• Classroom support provided by paraprofessionals assigned based on student need
• Work within a supportive community alongside a long-term teacher in a second program
• Targeted district support provided to teachers
• Fingerprinting clearance should be completed promptly upon contract signing
