Ampersand Therapy is hiring a Special Education Teacher to support students in an Affective Needs program in Parker, CO. You will provide individualized instruction, implement IEP goals, and collaborate with general education teachers, families, and staff to help elementary students grow and thrive.

This full-time, 1.0 FTE role offers pay up to $65/hour, a stable school-year schedule, W-2 employment with liability insurance, healthcare benefits, and 401(k) match.

Qualifications

• Valid Colorado Department of Education teaching license with Special Education endorsement.
• Experience with affective needs or behavioral/social-emotional needs preferred.
• Strong classroom management and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement IEPs tailored to individual student needs.
• Provide specialized instruction within an Affective Needs program.
• Support students with academic, behavioral, social-emotional, and communication needs.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, therapists, and families.
• Monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly.

About the Role

Hello, Special Education Teachers! Ampersand Therapy is hiring a Special Education Teacher to support students in an Affective Needs Special Education program in Parker, CO. In this role, you’ll provide individualized instruction, implement IEP goals, support students with behavioral and social-emotional needs, and create a structured classroom environment that promotes student growth and independence. You’ll collaborate closely with general education teachers, related service providers, families, and school staff to support the needs of your elementary caseload.

What You’ll Do

What We’re Looking For

• Valid Colorado Department of Education (CDE) teaching license with Special Education endorsement
• Experience supporting students with affective needs or behavioral/social-emotional needs preferred
• Strong classroom management and behavior support skills
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• School-based experience preferred, not required
