Job summary

Ampersand Therapy is seeking a Special Education Teacher for a full-time center-based Autism program in Northglenn, CO. The role involves implementing IEP goals, delivering individualized instruction, and collaborating with teachers, therapists, and families.

You will work with an elementary caseload, supporting academic, behavioral, communication, and social-emotional needs while promoting student independence and growth during the 2026–2027 school year.

Qualifications

• Valid Colorado Department of Education (CDE) teaching license with Special Education endorsement.
• Experience working with students with Autism preferred.
• Strong classroom management and behavior support skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement IEPs tailored to individual student needs.
• Provide specialized instruction in a center-based Autism classroom.
• Support students with academic, behavioral, communication, and social-emotional needs.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and families.
• Monitor progress, write progress reports, and maintain compliant documentation.
• Adapt curriculum to meet diverse learning needs and promote independence.
