Job summary

Ampersand Therapy is hiring a Special Education Teacher to support K-12 students in a Resource setting, developing and managing IEPs and coordinating with school staff to meet individual learning goals.

You will collaborate with general education teachers and families to provide targeted instruction and monitor progress, ensuring access to the general curriculum for diverse learners throughout the school year.

Qualifications

• Colorado Department of Education Special Education Generalist license or in process.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or related field.
• Minimum 1 year of classroom experience with diverse learners.
• Strong communication and organizational skills; collaborative team player.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement IEPs and individualized instruction.
• Provide targeted academic support and accommodations.
• Monitor progress and document data for IEP meetings.
• Coordinate annual and reevaluation IEP meetings with families and schools.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and staff.
