Job summary

Point Quest Group is seeking a Special Education Teacher in Fairland, IN to provide K-12 educational instruction within a school setting. You will design and deliver customized IEPs, monitor progress, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to maximize student outcomes.

The role requires an Indiana SPED license, strong organizational and communication skills, and a commitment to compliance with IDEA and related regulations.

Qualifications

• Indiana Department of Education Professional Educator's License with Special Education endorsement is required.
• Criminal and DCS background checks are required.
• One year of SPED teaching experience preferred (new grads welcome).

Responsibilities

• Design and implement legally mandated, customized IEPs with specific goals, services and accommodations.
• Modify standard lesson plans using multisensory teaching techniques to fit diverse learners.
• Monitor academic and behavioral performance and update IEP goals accordingly.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, families, school counselors, speech therapists, and administrators to support students holistically.
• Coordinate special education documentation and ensure compliance with IDEA and state/federal regulations.
• Implement behavior intervention plans and manage classroom crises to maintain a safe learning environment.
• Supervise and mentor Instructional Assistants or Paraprofessionals providing direct support to students.
