Job summary

Point Quest Group seeks a Special Education Teacher to lead a Resource/Inclusion classroom in Austin, TX. You will develop and implement IEPs, adapt curriculum, and support students with diverse learning needs.

The role requires a TX teaching certificate and a Bachelor's in Special Education, with a Master’s preferred. Collaboration with paraprofessionals and families is essential, along with ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education required.
  • TX teaching certification required; IVP fingerprint clearance.
  • Experience with IEPs and PBIS is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Develop lesson plans aligned to IEP goals and state standards.
  • Lead PBIS behavior management and progress tracking.
  • Write timely IEP updates and maintain compliance.
  • Supervise paraprofessionals in the classroom.
  • Attend IEP meetings and communicate with families.
  • Collaborate with related service providers including therapists.
