Job summary

Point Quest Group is hiring a Special Education Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year in Wayne, MI. You will lead a SPED classroom, develop and implement IEPs, and collaborate with families and staff to support each student’s growth.

You will supervise paraprofessionals, use PBIS for behavior management, and participate in IEP meetings, documentation, and progress tracking in a mission-driven environment.

Qualifications

  • Active Special Education teaching license required.
  • Background checks (Criminal and DCS) required.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop lesson plans with accommodations aligned to IEP goals.
  • Implement and manage PBIS program and behavior tracking.
  • Lead IEP meetings and maintain compliant documentation.
  • Supervise paraprofessionals in the classroom.
  • Collaborate with families, staff, and related service providers.
  • Adapt curriculum to meet diverse learning needs and monitor progress.

You'll develop and implement IEPs, manage classroom behavior using PBIS, supervise paraprofessionals, and collaborate with families and staff to support each student's academic and social growth.
