Job summary

Go Spindle seeks a Special Education Teacher for a high school moderate/severe class near West Covina. This full-time contract runs from August 13, 2026 through June 4, 2027, with one position open for the right educator.

You will design instruction aligned to each student’s IEP, collaborate with families and school staff, track progress, and lead IEP meetings. A Moderate/Severe or ESN credential is required; Autism classroom experience is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Valid and active Special Education Teaching Credential in Moderate/Severe or ESN.
  • Experience in an Autism classroom preferred.
  • Ability to design and deliver differentiated, individualized instruction.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Collaborate with families, general education teachers, specialists, and staff to implement IEPs.

Responsibilities

Looking for a fresh challenge where you can really make a difference? We're looking for a Special Education Teacher to join a supportive school community serving students in a high school moderate to severe classroom near West Covina. This is a full-time contract role running from August 13th, 2026 through June 4th, 2027, and we've got one position open for the right educator.

What you'll need
  • Valid and active Special Education Teaching Credential in Moderate/Severe or Extensive Support Needs (ESN)
  • Experience in an Autism classroom preferred
  • A genuine passion for individualized, differentiated instruction
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Comfort collaborating closely with families, general education teachers, specialists, and support staff to build and carry out IEPs
What you'll be doing
  • Designing and delivering instruction tailored to each student's IEP
  • Collaborating with teachers, specialists, therapists, and support staff
  • Tracking student progress and keeping documentation accurate and compliant
  • Facilitating IEP meetings in partnership with parents and school staff
  • Adapting curriculum and materials to meet the diverse social and academic needs of different learners
