Job summary

Applitrack seeks a dedicated Support Staff/Teacher Assistant to work under building principals and director of student services, providing instructional support to students with special needs and in small groups. This role requires collaboration with teachers to organize learning experiences and monitor progress.

You'll supervise students during lunch, hallways and restrooms, attend meetings and professional growth offerings, and help maintain a welcoming classroom.

Responsibilities

• Assist with instruction and helping of individual student with special needs, or in small groups, as needed
• Assist and support teachers to organize learning experiences for student(s)
• Supervision of students during lunch, hallway and bathroom time
• Under teacher direction and guidance, assist in assessing student needs and progress
• Attend meetings as scheduled
• Attend offerings for professional growth
• Adhere to the district's expectations with regards to attendance and punctuality
• Promote a positive relationship with students, staff and community
• Help maintain an attractive and inviting classroom environment
• Perform any task or responsibilities which may be directed by the Teacher, Building Principal, or Student Services Director
