Job summary

Applitrack seeks a Paraprofessional to support classroom instruction for students in prekindergarten through grade 12. The role reports to classroom or special education teachers and involves assisting with instructional activities, behavior support, and student supervision.

The position requires ISBE approval or eligibility, a high school diploma or GED, and experience with school-age children. It is a 9-month calendar with hourly employment, focused on student learning and safety.

Qualifications

• Must hold High School diploma or equivalent.
• ISBE Statement of Approval required.
• Prior experience with school-age children preferred.
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist certified staff with implementing IEP goals and objectives.
• Support instruction in various settings, including individual and small groups.
• Assist with classroom activities under supervision of teachers.
• Monitor student behavior and safety during activities and transitions.
• Provide substitute teacher support when needed.
• Maintain confidentiality and ethical standards.
• Participate in staff development programs as assigned.
