Job summary

Qualifications

• Associates degree or higher is required or acceptable alternate education/experience.
• Two years of post-secondary study or equivalent experience.
• Highly Qualified Status as defined by PDE requirements.
• Additional education/experience accepted by the school board.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional, physical, emotional and behavioral support to students including those with IEPs.
• Assist with lesson plan implementation, supervision, and classroom behavior management.
• Support students with personal care needs and ensure understanding of assignments.
• Monitor progress of IEPs and communicate with teachers and administrators.
• Maintain safe, orderly classroom environment and follow safety policies.
• Document student progress and report changes per daily logs and PDE requirements.
• Participate in required training and maintain confidentiality of records.
• Engage in professional development and SCM training as scheduled.

Education

Associates Degree or higher
