Job summary

The Illinois Association of School Administrators is seeking a Special Education Educational Support Professional for Washington Elementary School for the 2026-2027 school year. The position is 32.5 hours per week, starting at $19.33 per hour.

You will assist the Special Education Teacher with student care, record-keeping, data collection, and materials preparation, and supervise activities and students in both specialized and general education settings.

Qualifications

• Must hold an Illinois Paraprofessional License.
• Experience with children is required.
• Ability to work closely and cooperatively with district staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Special Education teacher in providing support for educational activities and physical care of students.
• Assist with record-keeping, data collection, materials preparation, and clerical tasks.
• Supervise classroom activities or lessons for individuals or small groups under the teacher's direction.
• Supervise students during playground and leisure time.
• Support students in the general education environment as assigned by the teacher.
• Perform other duties assigned by the classroom teacher and/or principal.
