Job summary

Glenview Public School District 34 is seeking Special Education Associates to support students with disabilities during the 25-26 school year. The role emphasizes assisting with daily lessons, materials, and individualized or group projects in a well-organized classroom.

Hours are full days (6:55 per day) for 190 days, with possible half-days. Base pay ranges from $19.15 to $24.18 per hour, with additional stipends for certain licenses and for holders of a Bachelor's or Master's degree.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children is helpful and shows patience and flexibility.
• Licensure or licensure assistance is required or possible through HR.
• Diploma or higher is required.

Responsibilities

• Support curriculum and instruction as outlined by the supervisor.
• Assist supervising teacher with classroom activities and behavior management.
• Build and maintain effective communication with staff and students.
• Attend to needs of assigned student(s), including transfers and feeding.
• Supervise lunch, recess, or before/after school as directed.
